WU Shall Not Pops

Last Saturday, I performed in yet another WU Pops Orchestra concert. This year, the concert title was “WU Shall Not Pops” and the theme color was purple. My favorite thing about this concert is that my friends and family attended, even though it was the Saturday before finals week. The most memorable moment of the night, other than performing, was grabbing Insomnia Cookies right after 1.5 hours of playing! ☺

From 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. earlier on today (Sunday, April 12th), the Washington University Symphony Orchestra and Choirs presented the annual Chancellor’s Concert. The concert was held in the E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall in the 560 Music Center. Steven Jarvi (orchestra) and Nicole Aldrich (choirs) were the conductors, and the concert featered Kate Reimann (soprano) and Keith Boyer (tenor). The program consisted of operatic favorites of Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Strauss, and Wagner. Following the performance, there was a Friends of Music reception hosted by Chancellor Mark Wrighton.
