Hey everyone! My name is AJ, and I really like cheesy movie quotes. One of my favorites from the cult classic High School Musical goes, “Do you remember in kindergarten how you’d meet a kid and know nothing about them, then 10 seconds later you’re playing like you’re best friends, because you didn’t have to be anything but yourself?” Well I’m hoping with this introductory post you can get to know me in about the next 10 seconds (maybe a little bit more depending on how fast you read), so hopefully for the next few blog posts you can consider me your best friend. Okay? Okay.
With that in mind, I’m currently a rising Junior in the Olin Business School studying marketing with a minor in psychology and the business of entertainment. My hometown is Franklin, Tennessee a small Civil War city right outside Nashville, but I am currently in St. Louis for the summer working in the admissions office here at WashU.
Back home, however, I have two true loves, my two dogs Muffin and Milo. Muffin is a fourteen-year-old sassy mutt who looks like a mix between…well… actually is easier to just include a photo:
And Milo is a nutty chocolate lab who would be very mad if I also didn’t include a photo of him:
These two goofballs get in a lot of trouble, but I still love them.
Other than my two dogs, I am also passionate about food. Taco Tuesday is a very sacred day of the week for me, and I keep a running list of all the ice cream places I have ever visited ranked on my phone. You will definitely see more food related posts by me throughout the summer!
I absolutely love being a WashU student, and I’m so lucky to call St. Louis my home. I’ve had some pretty great experiences both inside and outside of the classroom, and I’m looking forward to telling you more about these in the coming weeks through my blog posts!
