Coalition gives students another app option

Washington University is one of the inaugural members of the Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success. Therefore, you now have a choice when it comes to your application for admission to WashU. We still accept the Common Application, but now also take the Coalition Application. And we still require no additional essays.

The coalition rolled out its application platform this summer and is all set for its first application cycle. High School students may take advantage of the coalition’s integrated toolkit to organize, build, and refine their applications. Free tools like the “Locker” – a secure online spot to upload any materials you want to save for later, such as class projects, portfolio pieces, and essays – may come in handy when preparing to submit an application.

WashU is one of 53 institutions that will accept the Coalition App for students applying for fall 2017 admission. These coalition members have committed to affordability and accessibility for students. Don’t forget – WashU will meet 100 percent of need for all admitted students. take your pick! We only ask – for your sake as much as ours – that once you choose an application, stick with it. Switching between the two could become challenging.
