UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS at WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY in ST. LOUIS

TEDx Gateway Arch

Last weekend a TEDx event was hosted in St. Louis. TED, a foundation that supports the spreading of Technology Education and Design (TED) ideas is now supporting independently organized TED events or TEDx events.

At the program that I attended last weekend I saw a total of 17 talks ranging from topics that included HIV and Love Letters in Uganda to the accuracy that zip codes can predict longevity and quality of life. Between each captivating talk we were able to wander throughout exhibits that included a model 3D printer, Oculus Rift (a not-yet released headset for 3D gaming), new St. Louis startup info centers, and even TED speakers were available for questions.

If you have a chance to attend a TEDx event I would highly recommend it – they even have discounts for students!
