UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS at WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY in ST. LOUIS

IMLeagues (All Male Soccer)

Last Saturday was FC Beau2’s first game out on the intramural soccer field! The league is labeled “all-male” but the rules clearly state that there can be up to 3 female players on the field at a time. And, somehow, I decided it would be a good idea to join the team. I mean, I haven’t played soccer for years, but the desire to participate in the familiar sportsmanship and camaraderie that I missed from high school sports was overpowering. The game was ridiculously fun; I cannot wait for next Saturday. Not only did I get to hang out and play on a team with some of my best friends here at WashU, but all the players took to the game with a level of competition that made the game worth watching!

It was very easy to get involved with sports here on campus – both competitive and intramural (which I would highly recommend). There are three main sports categories: D3, club, and intramural. So, depending on your interest you can choose/try-out for the different teams. To give a few examples, my friends are involved with the club volleyball, rugby, and crew, varsity tennis, basketball, and baseball, and intramural soccer and volleyball to name a few teams.
